The focus of Habitat for Humanity’s work is on providing decent housing and settlements for marginalised communities. Habitat’s ability to mobilise volunteers from all over the world to work together for the greater good has brought homes to numerous communities over the years. In addition to good housing, Habitat provides community facilities such as schools, libraries, community centers, and playgrounds as well.
This impact trip will take you to one of Habitat’s community projects – Mauk. Since 2012, there have been over 630 houses built for impoverished households. Delegates will be able to engage with community stake holders as well as be able to see first-hand the work of Habitat’s housing improvements.
